The space
The Ocean Lookout suite is the top floor of “The Lookout House and has a master bedroom, a bathroom with a dressing room, a fun kitchen with everything you could possibly need to prepare delicious meals, a gorgeous dining room with a magnificent teak table, and an amazing living room to spread out in and (if you’re in here during the right season), whale watch!

Here at “Ocean Lookout”, you’ll enjoy 200 degree ocean and cliff views sweeping all the way along Maui’s north shore cliffs to Hana, and then back inland up to the 10,000′ summit of Mt Haleakala.

Ocean Lookout/ or whole Lookout House may also be rented in co-ordination with our other accommodations – Rainbow & Star Lookouts and Haleakala Cottage, which are on the same property. You can find these all on Airbnb!

The whole house (Lookout House Maui Airbnb (search term) is ideal for families, or couples traveling together. But if just two of you are traveling, then “OCEAN LOOKOUT” is plenty of space for you.

We’re 20 – 25 mins by car to the beautiful “local style” towns of Pa’ia and Makawao for great shopping, dining, beaches etc. Enjoy our organic tropical gardens, 44′ “jungle” pool (which is shared) and your own hot tub. Laze in a hammock … have fun with our fully equipped kitchen. Sit at our magnificent teak dining table. Enjoy free HIGH SPEED INTERNET … and we even have snuggly towel warmers to keep your towels hot and fresh! No detail has been overlooked.

Please note: WE HAVE NO TV RECEPTION, but HIGH SPEED INTERNET HAS JUST ARRIVED!!!! So, now we’re an ideal home base if you need / want to plan a ‘working’ vacation! You can stream moves etc on your laptop or you can tune into Netflix on the Smart TV in your living room.

We don’t do daily maid service, but will happily supply you with fresh linens or cleaning supplies. Ocean Lookout has its own private laundry.

PLEASE NOTE: We request that you shower off all sunscreens/body lotions etc before using our hot tubs! Also, please do NOT use any scents or soaps in the tubs as this will necessitate a complete draining of the tub, replacement of filters etc and you would be charged $100 from your security deposit. Also please rinse off after the beach as it’s no fun vacuuming sand out of our hot tubs!

Our beautiful 44 ft” jungle pool” is shared but you rarely see anyone else at all as everyone is out exploring the island! Also, each accommodation is landscaped for absolute max privacy … each cottage has its own private hot tub, lanais and barbecue areas.

There is now a lovelywalk down to the top of the ocean cliffs – especially spectacular round sunset when the greens are fluorescent, the ocean is blinding blue, the hills are velvet and the cows peacefully inquisitive on either side of you in their pasture. A ‘must’ do (only a 10 minute walk).

Our central location ensures that you have that ‘away from it all’ feel … but it’s only a 25 mins drive to nearest restaurants and grocery stores. We’re very much for the independent, self sufficient, off-the-beaten-path traveler – one who delights in the ‘real’ Maui, rather than in the plastic tourist images.
