Tranquil and secluded with stunning ocean views
Thank you, Sharyn, Kai & Jeff, for sharing this wonderful place! We can only recommend the ocean lookout cabin for providing ample, luxurious space including a walk-in wardrobe, 2 bathrooms on the upper floor. The best is the loving attention to details. We were greeted by fresh flowers in vases and hibiscus flowers everywhere (even in the fridge accompanying a Sauvignon blanc and 2 glases 🙂 ) And there is this phenomenal, huge patio overlooking the ocean at 180* view. The cabins are nestled well away from each other in a lush rainforesty garden. The pool is very clean and refreshing. If you want to discover the road to Hana, you are in for the benefit of being right on it, 10 min away from Twin Falls. So you get a headstart before everyone else. Amazing experience in this little Maui paradise
Absolutely amazing experience in a true Maui way! The house was great, typical to the island, with great atmosphere. The private jacuzzi was a big plus. It is off beaten path but at the same time driving distance from some very good activities and places. It was very clean inside, communication and service from the host were perfect and they offered good supplies in the fridge when you arrive! Another great stay at the Rainbow Cottage
We always love coming to the Rainbow Cottage. The weather was less than nice during our stay, and it didn't matter one bit! We love the privacy, the comfort, and the awesome hosts. Pure peace and quiet.
From the privacy of our one-room cottage to our private deck & spa tub to a very private pool to watching whales from their Cliff Walk, Huelo Point Lookout provided what we wanted different from a typical large resort stay. Their welcome gifts, including fresh eggs laid on property were the perfect start to our stay. This location made it an easy start on our adventure to Hana one day and a wonderful dinner at Mama’s Fish House the next. If you do Hana be sure to eat at Oralé food truck. Peaceful vacation spot
The rainforest atmosphere was incredible! So beautiful and serene! Perfect location for our Road to Hana and Haleakala trip! The extra touches made it even more special! If a private, out of the way paradise is what you’re after, this is the place!
The property was beautiful and well maintained with lavish vegetation all around providing beauty and privacy from all other units. The location is off the beaten path which attracted us to it, but still within a 15/20 min drive to nearest town for eats/supplies. It’s also conveniently located at the beginning of The Road to Hana, making it easy to beat the traffic with an early start. While we never met the owners, they were in contact with us periodically before during and after our stay to ensure we had all we needed. Upon arrival, we found the fridge stocked with goodies, such as fresh eggs from their farm, a bottle of wine and a variety of tropical fruit also grown on the property. Wonderful to have after traveling so far to arrive!! The unit was very clean with plenty of amenities, including a cooler, beach towels, and snorkel equipment to use as needed. A private hot tub was on our back deck which came in handy after a long day. There was also a shared pool for use that looked lovely, but had no time to use. Perfect Jungle Oasis!
We absolutely loved our stay here! A perfect hidden jungle oasis! The bungalow exudes charm! We loved the location, perfectly tucked away in the jungle close to the cliffside. There are about four units on the property with a shared pool. (We stayed at Rainbow Lookout). Despite having expansive floor to ceiling windows in every direction, they did a great job with the landscaping and layout at always making it feel very private and secluded. We especially loved the outdoor open air shower and our own private little hot tub! The bungalow was perfectly equipped for two people and had great outdoor cooking equipment on our backyard lanai. We loved taking advantage of the "cliff walk" at sunrise/sunset, though to set expectations, it's a walk to a cliff, not a path along a cliff. Regardless, the view is breathtaking. If you're looking for a place on the North Shore to get away from it all, while being in perfect position to explore the Road to Hana as well as Upcountry and the quieter side of Maui, look no further!!

Spectacular views!
Eight of us enjoyed the Lookout for 5 nights. My husband and I were joined by our daughter and her husband along with their three children. The two master bedrooms with king size beds, were very comfortable, Our grandson got his own space on the lower level, and our two granddaughters shared the king size bed in the downstairs living area. All the girls enjoyed the hot tub one night. There is a bathroom on each level. We all gathered around a very large and long table to eat and catch up. We came to Haiku for another grandson's wedding. We hung out at the pool, enjoyed the short walk to the cliff and checking out the spectacular views. We had short rains every night and loved the late night cooling breezes so much we turned off the AC, left our bedroom door open and listened to the rain each night. The house was well provisioned for breakfast with fresh eggs from the chickens on the property, coffee and delicious fresh pineapple. Das "echte" Hawaii
Wer Hawaii von der Natur und Gastfreundschaft her erleben möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Ich habe hier DAS Hawaii gefunden, was ich gesucht habe: eine üppige, sattgrüne Vegetation mit Blick aufs Meer (ich hatte das Ocean Lookout Apartment) und die Berge und zu hören war nur Vogelgezwitscher und der Wind, der die Palmen gestreift hat. Wirklich ein Ort zum runterkommen und "zu sich" kommen. Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett und fürsorglich, alles war super sauber und die Umgebung sehr ruhig, ursprünglich und un-touristisch - ich habe mich wirklich sehr wohlgefühlt.
