The top floor allows breathtaking 180 degree views of the ocean, palm trees, flowers and lush greenery. Sunrise here is a wonderful experience. It’s a great way to start your day.

A big plus for this location is it’s only 10-15 minutes from the Twin Falls on the Hana Highway. It’s your first major stop on that journey. This is a big asset at the end of a long day when you get to go home while everyone else has to continue driving exhausted to the other side of Maui. I highly recommend this house. More

Sharyn makes you feel so welcome, like coming home to an old friend, available for every need yet giving you space to just be. The ocean views from the lookout house are heavenly... we gazed upon sun rises, watched nourishing rain showers, and smiled upon multiple rainbows every day from the deck. The pool while shared was beautiful and private, we never saw another guest upon our stay. We enjoyed the private hot tub, the grill and outdoor deck for dinners. The home was colorful, thoughtful, the beds were extremely comfortable. We were able to enjoy walks and yoga in the front, a snooze in the hammock. The flowers and lushness of the property were incredibly lovely. The location was excellent for all of our upcountry adventures and hopping on the road to Hana upon our departure. I have traveled to many places and my boys watched me actually tear up leaving this sacred place. It is extremely special, you really do not want to be anywhere else. More

Accommodations were homey and comfy (the dining room table which sitting at has you looking out over the ocean is itself a work of art!), facilities fantastic (more below on those), and hosts very warm and welcoming. Kiddo loved the pool, and the hot tub; Mr and Mrs have to agree with her. Access to some beach gear was a bonus for folks who travel light. We were fortunate to stay in the Ocean Lookout which is worth the extra money for the space and the stunning views. We encourage you to take the short walk to the cliff’s end to better appreciate the wonderful environs from which Sharyn and Jeff have created a truly special place to stay.

The warmth and hospitality of the owners and staff is excellent and every item you need is there at your disposal. You are welcomed with the space adorned with flowers and they set you up with the basics like coffee, bread, and eggs in case you came in late we have been here twice and each time it’s been a treasure of an experience! This location would also work for a family reunion because there are different accommodations all over this gorgeous property!

We turned the chairs to face outward and watched the sunrise there every day. The beds are comfortable, kitchen well equipped, hot tub warm & bubbly, and the pool refreshing (though unheated, so a bit cold in winter). The setting is super private - the only times we saw other guests in 10 days were a couple times as we were driving off the property. We loved staying in this hidden corner of Maui, which is beautiful, lush, and not crowded by other people. That said, it is remote (about a half hour to Paia, the nearest town), so if you want night life, easy access to restaurants, etc, this probably isn’t the spot for you. Hosts Sharyn and Jeff were available but generally hands-off unless needed, which we appreciated.

My wife and I... read more grabbed the opportunity to book a last-minute, 5-night stay at the Ocean Lookout, and I can easily say it was one of the best travel decisions we've made yet. Just a short drive from the airport, you take a short side road and enter a property lush and full of life - not to mention epic, EPIC views of the north coast on one side, Haleakala on the other. It's your call whether you want to explore the trails on the Road to Hana, roll into Paia for a great meal, or try a beach just across the way. Heck, maybe you'll just stay and enjoy the house's quiet vibes, or that hot tub at the end of your day! Everything feels possible from here, and your hosts are charming and eager to share their recommendations. You see, Maui had been our very first trip off-mainland 12 years earlier, and after a tough experience we'd been bypassing it in favor of the Big Island. But after this recent stay at the Lookout, we got a look at how gorgeous and welcoming Maui truly can be - and I'll say we're back in love with the isle. Thanks Huelo Point - hope to return ASAP!

There is a cliff walk for a closer view. This place puts you in touch with nature and will make you want to just hang out. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and the pool area is beautifully tropical. We loved... read more having all the windows open to the amazing breeze. We loved the beautiful flowers and thoughtful gifts that were there for our arrival. We stayed at the Rainbow cottage and it was really breathtaking to watch the sun rise from our windows every morning and we also saw rainbows everyday! We really enjoyed walking the property full of gorgeous flowers and fruit trees, feeding the chickens, walking to the cliff for sunset and the pool and hot tub! Sharyn and Jeff have a piece of paradise here and we feel so lucky we found it! We will definitely be staying here again when we come back to Maui.
